Who runs this conference, what we handle, and what we are trying to get right.
PubScholars Group organises international scientific conferences across medicine, nursing, neurology, psychiatry, psychology, mental health and the life sciences. The Mental Health Conference 2026 is one of them.
What organising a conference actually involves
Most of the work is invisible from the outside. Recruiting a review panel with the right subject coverage. Reading every abstract that arrives, including the ones that will be declined. Booking a venue that works for a room and a stream at the same time. Running that stream so remote delegates can put a question and be heard. Issuing certificates that an accreditation body stands behind. Publishing proceedings so accepted work has a permanent, citable home.
A conference is judged on the two days it runs. It is built in the eleven months before them.
Three things we try to get right
● Review that means something. An acceptance is only worth having if rejection was possible. Panels are recruited for subject expertise, not for the prestige of a name on a page.
● Virtual attendance that is real attendance. A remote delegate should be able to ask a question, join a poster round and meet people. A one-way video feed is not hybrid, it is a recording with an audience.
● A record that outlives the event. Citable proceedings and accredited certificates, so participation shows up on a CV rather than only in photographs.
Where we work
Our meetings span the healthcare and life sciences. The subject changes; the format does not. Enough room for a doctoral student to present alongside a professor, sessions short enough to hold attention, and chairs who keep to time so the last speaker of the day gets the same twenty minutes as the first.
What we are working on next
Wider subject coverage, more partnerships with institutions running parallel programmes, and better routes for researchers from regions that are under-represented at international meetings — usually a cost and visa problem rather than a quality one.
