Eligibility, format, registration, certificates, presenting, recordings, fees, cancellations and visa letters.
There is no membership requirement and no closed list. Delegates come from clinical practice — psychiatry, psychology, therapy, mental health nursing — and from research, academia, social work, community services, policy and commissioning. Students and early-career professionals attend at a reduced rate with a current institutional ID. If the theme is relevant to your work, you qualify.
Both, and you choose when you register. It runs at the Hilton Garden Inn Boston Canton on 20–21 November and every session streams live at the same time. Virtual delegates are participants rather than viewers: the question queue, the poster rounds and the networking rooms are all open to them, and presenters can deliver remotely.
Choose your category on the registration page — speaker, delegate, student, virtual, poster-only or accompanying person — complete the form, and a secure payment link follows by email within a working day. Your place is held once payment clears. The confirmation carries your invoice, the hotel booking code and joining details. If your institution needs invoicing instead, say so and we will raise one.
Every registered participant receives a certificate with their name and affiliation under CPD approved provider #785794. In Boston you collect it when the final session closes on 21 November; remote delegates receive it by email two to three working days later. A co-author who has not registered separately does not receive one, even where their name is on an accepted abstract. How the hours count toward your own renewal depends on your licensing board, so check their criteria before booking.
Yes, and the final round stays open until 15 October 2026. Send it through the abstract portal, indicating whether you want an oral slot or a poster board and whether you will present in Boston or online. The scientific committee replies within two days. Accepted work goes into the proceedings with a citable reference.
Twenty-five tracks in three loose groups: clinical practice (depression and anxiety, PTSD, substance use, eating disorders, suicide prevention), neuroscience and neuropsychiatry (imaging, neuropharmacology, neurodegeneration, cognitive neuroscience), and the wider frame (policy and human rights, global inequities, workplace mental health, digital tools). Each track and its areas of focus are listed on the sessions page.
Yes, and recordings go to every registered delegate afterwards, in person and virtual alike. Breakouts run in parallel so clashes are unavoidable; anything you miss live is watched later rather than lost.
It turns on two things: which of the six categories you fall into, and how early you book, since each round closes at a higher price than the one before. Current rates and what each covers are on the registration page. Group pricing applies for three or more people from one department.
Cancel 90 days or more before the conference and the fee is refunded less a $100 administration charge. Inside 90 days it is not refundable but it does transfer to a future PubScholars conference. Handing your place to a colleague is free at any point before the doors open — email the secretariat with their details. Full terms are on the refund policy page.
Yes, once your registration is paid. Send your name exactly as it appears in your passport, the passport number, your institution and the consulate you are applying through. We cannot influence a decision, but we can make sure the letter carries what the consulate expects.
